Mohammed Asmi Mohideen

Mohammed Asmi Mohideen, a 54-year-old businessman, was recently in the news after being tragically shot and killed outside his hardware store in Maligawatta. The police reported that he was targeted by an unknown assailant who approached on a motorcycle and shot him in the head while he was conversing with another individual. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. His murder is suspected to be linked to an ongoing conflict between rival criminal gangs.
