Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi

Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi was the last monarch of Iran, ruling from 1941 until his overthrow in 1979 during the Islamic Revolution. His reign was marked by significant modernization efforts and economic development, but also by political repression, which ultimately led to widespread discontent and his exile. He warned of the dangers of a theocratic regime before his death in 1980.
