Monetotschka, born Yelisaveta Andreyevna Gyrdymova, is a 27-year-old pop singer from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Known for her powerful voice and poignant lyrics, she gained prominence for openly condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. After being labeled as a 'foreign agent' by Russian authorities, she fled to Lithuania, where she now lives with her family. Monetotschka has since become a symbol of resistance, performing for Russian diaspora audiences across the globe and advocating for peace through her music.
