Monica Kathina Juma

Monica Kathina Juma has been appointed as the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), succeeding Ghada Fathi Waly. She currently serves as National Security Adviser to the President of Kenya, William Ruto, and has held various significant positions in the Kenyan government, including Cabinet Secretary for Defence, Foreign Affairs, and Energy. Juma is recognized for her extensive expertise in public policy, security, and diplomacy, and she holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Oxford.
