Monica Macharia

Monica Macharia is a businesswoman and property owner who gained attention in a legal case involving the Kenya Railways Corporation. Following the demolition of her business premises in 2020, she sought compensation and was awarded Sh45.5 million by the High Court in Nakuru. However, Kenya Railways, under the management of MD Philip Mainga, failed to comply with the court order, leading to Mainga's conviction for contempt of court.
