Monsenhor Marcos Pavan

Monsenhor Marcos Pavan is a Brazilian priest and the first non-Italian maestro of the Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina, also known as the Pope's Choir, in over 600 years. Born in São Paulo, he specializes in vocal techniques and Gregorian chant, having studied music in Brazil and abroad. Appointed by Pope Francis in 2020, Pavan leads a group renowned for its performances in the Vatican and its rich history dating back to the 6th century.
