Montserrat Gimeno

Montserrat Gimeno was a Spanish woman who gained notoriety for the murder of her husband in Andorra in 2010, a crime that shocked the local community. She was sentenced to twenty years in prison and became the longest-serving female inmate in Andorra's history. After serving fifteen years, she was released and later expelled from Andorra due to her lack of citizenship. Her case attracted significant media attention, particularly regarding her claims of innocence and the circumstances surrounding her husband's death. She passed away at the age of 67 in her home in the Seu d’Urgell, and her death is currently under investigation to determine the cause.
