Mordechai Moti Maman

Mordechai Moti Maman is a 72-year-old Israeli man who, amid financial difficulties and following a recent marriage to a younger woman from Belarus, became entangled in an Iranian espionage plot. In 2024, he was lured to Iran under the pretense of a business opportunity, where he was offered large sums of money to carry out various espionage tasks, including the potential assassination of high-ranking Israeli officials. Maman's involvement with Iranian agents led to his arrest by Shin Bet upon returning to Israel, resulting in a 10-year prison sentence for contacting a foreign agent and illegal entry into an enemy state.
