Moreira Chonguiça is a renowned Mozambican saxophonist and jazz musician, celebrated for his contributions to the genre. He studied musicology and jazz performance at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Over his career, he has released seven albums, including notable works like 'The Moreira Project' and 'M&M,' the latter in collaboration with the legendary Cameroonian musician Manu Dibango. Chonguiça is actively involved in promoting African jazz and will be performing at the Bob Collymore Foundation International Jazz Festival in Nairobi, Kenya, marking a significant moment as the first musician from a Portuguese-speaking country to participate in this event.
