Mpho Mafole

Mpho Mafole was the chief auditor of the Ekurhuleni metropolitan municipality, known for her integrity in addressing corruption in public procurement. Her murder following the submission of a critical report on a significant tender highlighted the severe risks faced by those exposing corruption in South Africa, particularly in relation to the controversial Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) policy.
