Mrs Beeton

Mrs Beeton, born Isabella Beeton in 1836, was a prominent English author known for her influential book 'Book of Household Management,' published in 1861. She was a pioneer in domestic science and is credited with providing practical advice on cooking, household management, and etiquette for the Victorian middle class. Her work revolutionized how British households were managed and set standards for domesticity that are still referenced today. Unfortunately, her life was cut short when she died at the age of 28 in 1865, but her legacy continues to shape home economics.
