Muhammad Munirul Mawla is the Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. He has been in the news recently due to a decision by the bank's board to place him on a three-month mandatory leave amid allegations of irregularities related to loans involving prominent businessman S Alam. The bank has also decided to formally report these issues to the Bangladesh Bank for further action.
