Known as 'the Sultan', he operated a vast drug empire while maintaining a facade of legitimacy through various businesses, including a company that supplied military equipment. Hafeez was extradited to the US in 2023, where he pleaded guilty to conspiring to import heroin, methamphetamine, and hashish, and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
