Muhammed Asif Hafeez
Muhammed Asif Hafeez, born in September 1958 in Lahore, Pakistan, was a seemingly upstanding businessman and polo ambassador who was later revealed to be one of the world's most prolific drug traffickers. Known as 'the Sultan', he operated a vast drug empire while maintaining a facade of legitimacy through various businesses, including a company that supplied military equipment. Hafeez was extradited to the US in 2023, where he pleaded guilty to conspiring to import heroin, methamphetamine, and hashish, and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
