Muhammed Hamdan Dagalo
Muhammed Hamdan Dagalo, commonly known as Hemedti, is the leader of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan. His group has been implicated in numerous human rights abuses and is known for its historical ties to the Janjaweed militia, which was involved in the Darfur conflict. Since the outbreak of violence in Sudan in April 2023, Hemedti's RSF has engaged in fierce battles against the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and has increased its attacks on civilian populations, including the Zamzam refugee camp, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian crisis.
