Mumtaz Dogmush
Mumtaz Dogmush is the leader of the Dogmush clan, a powerful family in Gaza with a complex history of shifting allegiances and involvement in various militant groups. In the 1990s, he was part of the Preventive Security led by Mohammed Dahlan, but later became known for founding the Army of Islam and pledging allegiance to both ISIS and Al-Qaeda. The Dogmush clan has been involved in criminal activities such as extortion and managing smuggling tunnels, and has a notorious reputation for kidnapping, including the abduction of BBC correspondent Alan Johnston in 2007. Recently, the clan has faced accusations from Hamas of collaborating with Israel during conflicts.
