Muriel Kahwagi

Muriel Kahwagi is a curator at Contemporary Calgary, originally from Beirut, who expresses a critical view of the city’s reliance on the oil industry and what she perceives as its repressive cultural atmosphere. Her work reflects an anti-capitalist stance, and she often critiques the moral superiority that Canadians feel over Americans.
