Musa Abdrayim
Musa Abdrayim, a 52-year-old hero from Kazakhstan, gained national attention for his courageous act of bravery at Almaty Airport on March 7, 2025, where he disarmed an armed assailant threatening a young woman. While accompanying relatives, he heard screams and instinctively rushed towards the commotion, ultimately intervening to save the hostage. Musa's background in martial arts, including hand-to-hand combat and kickboxing, played a crucial role in his ability to confront the attacker. In recognition of his heroism, he was awarded a medal by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, which he plans to proudly display at home.
