Mustafa Özmen
Mustafa Özmen is the former mayor of Gelendost, elected from the İYİ Party in the 31 March 2024 local elections. Following the resignation of the party leader Meral Akşener, he left İYİ Party and continued his duties as an independent. Özmen has been in the news due to a corruption investigation initiated by the Yalvaç Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, leading to his arrest on charges including bribery and forgery. He was detained along with several others and is currently held at the Yalvaç T Type Closed Prison while the investigation continues.
