
Mykola II
Mykola II was the last Emperor of Russia, reigning from 1894 until his abdication in 1917 during the Russian Revolution. He and his family were later executed by Bolshevik forces in 1918. Recently, his portraits were discovered in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra during inspections by the National Reserve, drawing attention to the historical ties of the site to imperial Russia.
