After the Revolution of Dignity, he served as the deputy head of the political block of the Right Sector, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and democratic values. Karpyuk was also a former political prisoner in Russia, and he tragically lost his life on the front lines defending Ukraine at the age of 62.
