N’Gola was a prominent silverback gorilla at the Zurich Zoo, known for his remarkable lineage and nurturing behavior. Born on April 15, 1977, he became a media sensation in Switzerland, particularly after turning 40, due to his impressive size and fatherly instincts, having fathered 34 offspring. N’Gola passed away at the age of 47, with his health declining over recent years, leading to his euthanasia to improve the well-being of the remaining gorilla group.
