Naama Giva-Zatorsky

Professor Naama Giva-Zatorsky is a prominent molecular biologist at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. She heads the Department of Molecular Biology and Cancer Sciences and is recognized for her innovative research on the human microbiome and its impact on health. Giva-Zatorsky's work explores how gut bacteria can change their functions in response to physiological conditions, revealing potential pathways for diagnosing and treating inflammatory bowel diseases. She has a keen interest in integrating experimental and computational approaches to better understand the complexities of microbial communities within our bodies. As a member of the Young Academy and the 8400 Health Network, she is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and application in the field of health.
