Nacagilevu began her weightlifting journey at the age of 13 and has since developed into a promising athlete representing New Zealand. After overcoming a shoulder injury that impacted her initial international debut, she showed resilience by winning bronze at the 2024 IWF Youth World Championships. At just 18 years old, she has already made significant strides in her senior career, including a second-place finish at the 2026 Oceania Championships and breaking the junior Commonwealth snatch record.
