Nacho Rumbao

Nacho Rumbao, a dedicated firefighter from Soria, tragically lost his life at the age of 57 while battling wildfires in León, Spain. He was involved in emergency services for many years, previously serving as a member of the Guardia Civil and working as a mechanic. Rumbao's commitment to firefighting was evident as he contributed to the efforts against the devastating fires that affected the region, particularly during a challenging summer marked by extreme conditions. His untimely death occurred when the fire truck he was driving overturned on a treacherous mountain road, making him the first firefighter to die in the current wildfire season.
