Nade Proeva was a distinguished historian and university professor from North Macedonia, celebrated for her exceptional contributions to the field of Macedonian historiography. Throughout her career, she dedicated herself to researching antiquity and ancient Macedonia, leaving behind a significant scientific legacy that opened new horizons in historical science. Proeva's scholarly work was characterized by a rigorous and honest approach to historical truths, avoiding romanticism and mythologizing of the past. Her education included studies in Belgrade and specialization at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she focused on epigraphy, numismatics, and ancient religions. She was posthumously awarded the '8 September' Order by President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova for her remarkable impact on the development and affirmation of Macedonian historical studies.
