Nadezhda Zaprudnik

At 94 years old, Nadezhda Zaprudnik is a resilient Belarusian émigré residing in a nursing home in New Jersey. Born in 1932, she survived the tumult of World War II, spending time in Germany before moving to the United States. Throughout her life, she and her late husband, historian Yanko Zaprudnik, dedicated significant resources—approximately one million dollars—to support Belarusian culture and education. Nadezhda remains active in her community, sharing her experiences and wisdom, and continues to advocate for Belarusian identity and resilience amidst challenges.
