Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem III

Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem III was a revered Asantehemaa (queen mother) who served as the 13th queen of the Ashanti Kingdom from 1977 until her passing in 2016 at the age of 109. Born into a royal family, she was instrumental in championing the culture and welfare of the Ashanti people. Her reign was marked by her commitment to social issues and her role in the preservation of the Ashanti traditions. She was the mother of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the 14th Asantehemaa, and is remembered for her strong leadership and influence in the community.
