Nancy Atwood Sprague

Nancy Atwood Sprague was a prominent art collector who purchased El Greco's 'La Asunción' in 1906 and later donated it to the Art Institute of Chicago, where it remains a significant piece of the collection and has recently been loaned to the Museo del Prado for a special exhibition.
