Nanny Wunderly-Volkart

Nanny Wunderly-Volkart was a Swiss patron of the arts and a close friend of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke. She played a significant role in supporting Rilke during his time at Château de Muzot, helping to provide him with the solitude and environment he needed for his creative work. Her influence was pivotal in Rilke's later writings, especially during his prolific period in the early 1920s.
