Narayan Prasad

Narayan Prasad is a former dentist from West Auckland who operated an unlicensed dental practice, where he treated approximately 500 patients without the necessary qualifications. In March, he was sentenced for multiple breaches of health regulations, including performing dental procedures and issuing prescriptions without being a registered health practitioner. His actions resulted in significant harm to patients, prompting a judge to highlight the severe breach of trust and the risk posed to public health. Prasad was sentenced to community detention and ordered to pay reparations to his victims.
