Narges Mohamadi

Narges Mohamadi is an Iranian human rights activist and the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate recognized for her relentless fight against the death penalty and her advocacy for women's rights in Iran. Over the past 25 years, she has faced multiple arrests and imprisonments due to her outspoken opposition to oppressive laws and practices in Iran, particularly regarding the mandatory dress code for women. Mohamadi has spent a significant portion of the last decade incarcerated, most recently in the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran. Despite her struggles, she continues to inspire others with her courage and resilience in the face of severe governmental repression.
