Nasir Aslam Wani

Nasir Aslam Wani is a political adviser to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and a prominent member of the National Conference party. Recently, he was among those placed under house arrest by authorities to prevent political figures from attending the memorial for the 1931 martyrs in Srinagar. Wani has been vocal about the restrictions imposed on the elected government, criticizing the undemocratic nature of the clampdown.
