Nasir Rajpoot

Professor Nasir Rajpoot is a chair of computational pathology at Warwick University, where he is advancing AI technologies for cancer diagnostics. He recently presented his AI colorectal diagnostic tool at the Cancer Society conference, which can quickly process biopsy samples and provide patients with an all-clear diagnosis within two hours, thereby reducing the workload on pathologists. Rajpoot aims to implement this tool through the NHS by 2027 and is exploring its applicability to diverse ethnic groups, including Māori, to enhance cancer detection efforts.
