Natalia Mikhaylova is a photographer who gained media attention after being found not guilty of allegations related to spraying a baby with cleaning chemicals. Following her acquittal in November 2023, she sought to recover nearly $99,000 in legal costs but was unsuccessful. Mikhaylova claimed she was the victim of a conspiracy involving the baby's mother and accused a police officer of tampering with evidence. The court noted that her claims for costs were dismissed, as well as her assertion that she required a translator for legal proceedings, which was later revealed to be her husband.
