
Natalia Romanskaya
Natalia Romanskaya was a celebrated Belarusian folk singer born on January 27, 1961, in the village of Myshanka, Petrykawichy District. She was a prominent member of the State Academic Folk Choir of Belarus from 1982 to 1998, also performing with the folk music ensemble 'Bieseda' for the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus starting in 1990. Renowned for her unique interpretations, she was the first performer of many works by Belarusian composers, including popular songs from the 1990s like 'Zorachka Maya' and 'Padayuts Zory.' In recognition of her contributions to music, she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Belarus in 1997. Romanskaya also shared her expertise as a professor at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts from 1999 to 2006. She passed away recently, and her farewell ceremony is scheduled for April 29 in Minsk.
