Since her childhood, she has been captivated by nature, particularly frogs, which sparked her lifelong commitment to environmental advocacy. In 2012, she founded World of the Wild, an innovative app that gamifies wildlife rescue, and later established My Green World, a social enterprise focused on educating children about conservation. Her notable contributions to the field earned her the Order of Australia Medal in 2018. Kyriacou's latest book, Nature’s Last Dance, explores themes of survival and resilience in the face of mass extinction, aiming to inspire readers to recognize the fragility and beauty of the natural world.
