Natalija Molčanova was a renowned Russian freediver born on May 8, 1962, in Ufa, Bashkortostan. She became famous for her extraordinary achievements in the sport, holding over 40 world records and earning the title of greatest freediver of all time. Her passion for diving began later in life, and she quickly established herself in the competitive scene, setting numerous records, including a remarkable dive of 127 meters on a single breath. Tragically, she disappeared during a routine dive in August 2015 near Formentera, Spain, and her body was never recovered, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and dedication to the underwater world.
