Nataliya Khodakivska

Nataliya Khodakivska is a grieving mother who faced immense sorrow after her 22-year-old son was killed during the conflict at Azovstal on May 8, 2022, by a Russian aerial bomb. Struggling with the acceptance of her son's death without having seen his body, she was ultimately persuaded by her husband to erect a cenotaph in his memory. The decision to place it at the National Military Memorial Cemetery, alongside those of his fallen comrades, reflects her desire to honor her son's sacrifice and ensure that his memory lives on.
