Nathalie Nede

Nathalie Nede is a member of the Arnhem city council representing the ChristenUnie party. She has been an advocate for the rights of Surinamese individuals who have become undocumented in the Netherlands after Suriname's independence in 1975. Recently, she raised concerns about the situation of these former Dutch citizens and questioned the mayor about the city's efforts to assist them in obtaining residency permits under a temporary regulation meant to rectify historical injustices.
