Nazar Daletsky

Nazar Daletsky, hailing from the village of Velykyi Doroshev near Lviv, is a Ukrainian military veteran who served in the 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. Initially engaged in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas, he joined the military to defend Ukraine during the full-scale war that began in 2022. After going missing in May 2022, he was presumed dead, with his family even holding a funeral for him in September 2022. However, in February 2025, it was revealed through other released prisoners that he was alive and had been held in a Russian prison. Nazar was finally reunited with his family during a prisoner exchange on February 5, 2025, marking a miraculous return after years of uncertainty.
