Nazperver Sultan
Nazperver Sultan, originally named Dobra Hatun, was a Romanian noblewoman who became the third wife of Sultan Murad al III of the Ottoman Empire. Born to Mircea Ciobanu, the ruler of Wallachia, she was sent to Constantinople by her mother, Chiajna, where she converted to Islam. Nazperver became a significant figure in the Ottoman court, giving birth to several heirs and constructing a mosque in her name. Her life was marked by both her rise in status and the tragic fate that befell her after the death of her husband, leading to her own demise under the new sultan's orders.
