Neja Bizjak Štrus is a young researcher at the Department of Wood Science at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana. With a background in biology and a master's degree in microbiology, she specializes in the effects of plasma technology on wood and wood-decaying fungi. Her innovative research aims to develop environmentally friendly methods to enhance the durability of wood and reduce fungal decay, utilizing plasma as a clean energy source. In addition to her scientific work, Neja is actively involved in the Young Academy Society, promoting mentorship and addressing challenges faced by early-career researchers.
