Nelson Florentino

Nelson Florentino is the president of the Consórcio Lagunar Marítimo, which is responsible for the implementation of the innovative Aquaviário Lagunar de Jacarepaguá project in Rio de Janeiro. This project aims to enhance public transportation through a network of boat lines connecting various lagoons in the Zona Sudoeste, with an expected capacity to transport 85,000 passengers daily. During the recent announcement of the project, Florentino emphasized the strategic importance of building terminals in high-demand areas and integrating with existing transport systems like the BRT and metro, highlighting the project's potential to alleviate traffic congestion in the region.
