Nenad Miković is a canoeing coach from Pančevo who recently made headlines for his heroic intervention during a dangerous incident on the Tamiš River. While coaching a group of young children, aged 6 to 11, Miković confronted a reckless driver on a motor scooter who approached the training session at high speed, causing a kayak with children to overturn. His quick actions to protect the children involved jumping onto a paddleboard and attempting to block the scooter, which resulted in a confrontation with the driver. Miković's bravery ensured the safety of the children, although some sustained minor injuries. Following the incident, he has been vocal about the need for accountability and has initiated actions against the initial police response that failed to apprehend the suspect immediately.
