Neofit Rilski

Neofit Rilski was a prominent Bulgarian educator, writer, and cleric from the 19th century, known for his significant contributions to the Bulgarian National Revival. He played a crucial role in promoting the use of the Bulgarian language in education and literature. His work includes the publication of the 'Христоматия славянского язъка' in 1852, which marked the beginning of the celebration of Saints Cyril and Methodius on May 11.
