Nguema Obiang
Nguema Obiang is the vice-president of Equatorial Guinea and the son of the country's long-time president, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. He has been embroiled in controversies surrounding corruption and embezzlement, notably being convicted in 2017 by a French court for laundering millions of euros. Recently, he was in the news due to a deal between the Trump administration and Equatorial Guinea, which involved a $7.5 million payment to accept noncitizen deportees from the U.S.
