At 70 years old, Nguyễn Đình Cẩn is known as the chairman of the elderly association in his village. He gained attention for recounting the discovery of a unique stone dragon statue while the villagers were renovating the path to the temple in 1991. The statue, weighing over 3 tons, was eventually placed beside the temple dedicated to the revered figure Lê Văn Thịnh.
