Nicolae Vărzariu

Nicolae Vărzariu, affectionately known as Nicu, is a prominent figure in Romanian sports history, particularly recognized for his significant contributions to CS Dinamo and the Romanian Football Federation. Born on February 7, 1933, in the Mehedinți region, he has had a long and storied career, working as a financial manager and helping to raise over 4.5 million dollars for CS Dinamo from 1996 to 2020. Vărzariu's tenure at the Romanian Football Federation from 1990 to 1994 included participation in two World Cups.
