Nicolai Lilin

Nicolai Lilin is a Moldovan author best known for his 2009 bestseller 'Educazione siberiana,' which explores themes of identity, culture, and the harsh realities of life in Siberia. Born in Transnistria during the Soviet era, Lilin's works have been translated into 30 languages and adapted into a film directed by Gabriele Salvatores. Recently, he gained media attention for making threatening remarks against journalist Stefania Battistini and her cameraman, Simone Traini, regarding their reporting on the conflict in Ukraine.
