Nidal Malik Hasan is a former U.S. Army psychiatrist who perpetrated the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, killing 13 people and wounding over 30. His actions, motivated by radical Islamist beliefs, led to his conviction on multiple counts of murder and attempted murder, resulting in a death sentence.
